The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
